Thoughtful Friday – Joyous

” The aim of life is to live,

and to live means to be aware,

joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware “

… and finding beauty at every corner,

finding joy in every possible nook and cranny,

choosing to look at these forgotten spots,

filled with treasures just waiting to be discovered.

Thoughtful Friday 2010 – 1

-

I thought it would be nice to bring Thoughtful Friday back.

I like gathering quotes. I like the way they make their way in my own thoughts until full absorption. I really like how my views can sometimes be a bit shaken by it.

I found this one a long time ago, it kept coming back to me. Probably because it is something  I find so true and yet really struggle applying to my own days. I’m often stuck in what happened before or what I would like to do “once (something else) is done”. The truth is that what is done and gone is exactly that : done and gone. There is nothing about it except us, richer from whatever experience it was. As for what is yet to be, well, everything begins this day, this moment.

Cheers to this day, to every new day !

Thoughtful Friday 13 – Taking risks

“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud

was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”

Anais Nin

I feel sometimes that my dreams are a bit out of reach.

But dreams always are.

At least for a while.

Aren’t they ?

I contemplate them,

and I freeze.

My feet stops and I can’t seem to move towards them.

I wonder what I am so afraid of.

-

I want my dreams to guide me.

To push me forward.

No more shying away.

Have a beautiful day everyone !

Thoughtful Friday 12 – The right time

-

-

“Your journey has molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be.

Don’t think that you’ve lost time. There is no short-cutting to life.

It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now.

And now is right on time.”

Asha Tyson

I am sending yet another resume soon.

I feel that it’s all I’ve been doing, without much success.

(sigh)

And this all makes me feel a little down,

a little rejected,

a little aimless.

A little useless, too.

-

I don’t remember where I found this quote, but it resurfaced a few days ago.

Just at the right time.

And I’ve been reading it many times since.

I’m going to hang on to it for a while.

-

Have a beautiful week end everyone !
